# Carbon vs CodecCast

The clearest difference is ads: CodecCast at none against Carbon's shown. CodecCast also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Carbon sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and CodecCast sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
