# Luminosys vs Lux Meter Pros

The clearest difference is rating: Lux Meter Pros at 5.0 against Luminosys's 4.3. Lux Meter Pros also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 19 months). Luminosys's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (75% vs 50%). On price, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lux Meter Pros sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Luminosys asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lux Meter Pros holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Luminosys has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Luminosys's written reviews are positive against 50% of Lux Meter Pros's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Luminosys ships an update every 19 months, Lux Meter Pros every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
