# Bombyx Score vs Score 7

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Bombyx Score at none against Score 7's 3. Bombyx Score also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Score 7's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Score 7 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Bombyx Score asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bombyx Score holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Score 7 has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Bombyx Score's written reviews are positive against 100% of Score 7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bombyx Score ships an update every 7 months, Score 7 weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
