# Jester vs Comedy Box

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Jester at 100% against Comedy Box's 0%. Jester also leads on ratings volume (42 vs 3). Comedy Box's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Comedy Box holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jester has 42 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Jester's written reviews are positive against 0% of Comedy Box's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jester ships an update every 2 weeks, Comedy Box every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
