# Patagonia Chat vs Study Tracker & Timer

Patagonia Chat and Study Tracker & Timer both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 79% of Study Tracker & Timer's written reviews are positive against 37% of Patagonia Chat's. Study Tracker & Timer also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Patagonia Chat's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study Tracker & Timer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Patagonia Chat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Patagonia Chat holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 31 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of Patagonia Chat's written reviews are positive against 79% of Study Tracker & Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
