# Live Caption AI vs Hearview

The clearest difference is rating: Hearview at 3.6 against Live Caption AI's 3.0. Hearview also leads on ratings volume (16 vs 2) and review sentiment (60% vs 50%). Live Caption AI's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Caption AI sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Hearview sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hearview holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hearview has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Live Caption AI's written reviews are positive against 60% of Hearview's.

Live Caption AI ships an update weekly, Hearview every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 9, 2026.
