# U vs RouteViews

The clearest difference is ads: U at none against RouteViews's shown. U also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). RouteViews's advantage is update cadence (daily vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

U ships an update every 2 months, RouteViews daily. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
