# AWS Cloud Practitioner vs Skillweed Academy

The clearest difference is ads: Skillweed Academy at none against AWS Cloud Practitioner's shown. Skillweed Academy also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 16 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). AWS Cloud Practitioner's advantage is ratings volume (601 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AWS Cloud Practitioner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month and Skillweed Academy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skillweed Academy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AWS Cloud Practitioner has 601 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

AWS Cloud Practitioner ships an update every 16 months, Skillweed Academy every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
