# HDMI vs Control OBS

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Control OBS at 100% against HDMI's 52%. Control OBS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.9) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). HDMI's advantage is ratings volume (72 vs 2) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Control OBS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HDMI has 72 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of HDMI's written reviews are positive against 100% of Control OBS's.

HDMI ships an update every 3 weeks, Control OBS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
