# start Time vs SkillForge

The clearest difference is ads: start Time at none against SkillForge's shown. SkillForge's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. start Time sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and SkillForge sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

start Time ships an update every 2 months, SkillForge every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
