# Paltopia vs Icarus Directory

The clearest difference is rating: Paltopia at 4.8 against Icarus Directory's 2.5. Paltopia also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 4) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Paltopia sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Icarus Directory sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Paltopia holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Paltopia has 1.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Paltopia ships an update every 3 weeks, Icarus Directory every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 22, 2026.
