# Aubergine Kitchen Official vs Recommenu

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Recommenu at 93% against Aubergine Kitchen Official's 31%. Recommenu also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). Aubergine Kitchen Official's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Aubergine Kitchen Official holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Aubergine Kitchen Official has 811 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of Aubergine Kitchen Official's written reviews are positive against 93% of Recommenu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Aubergine Kitchen Official ships an update monthly, Recommenu every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
