# Local AI Chat vs SkipKey

The clearest difference is update cadence: SkipKey at every 4 days against Local AI Chat's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Local AI Chat sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and SkipKey sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Local AI Chat ships an update every 10 days, SkipKey every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
