# BrainDeck vs Physics

BrainDeck and Physics both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 70% of BrainDeck's written reviews are positive against 0% of Physics's. BrainDeck also leads on price (Free vs $4.99) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 months). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

BrainDeck is free to download; Physics costs $4.99 up front. BrainDeck sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Physics sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Physics holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BrainDeck has 246 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of BrainDeck's written reviews are positive against 0% of Physics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrainDeck ships an update every 6 days, Physics every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
