# Fast VPN vs VPN Client

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VPN Client at none against Fast VPN's 12. VPN Client also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (182 vs 25). Fast VPN's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fast VPN sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. VPN Client asks for nothing beyond the download.

Fast VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN Client has 182 ratings behind it against 25, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 48% and 48% positive.

Fast VPN ships an update every 6 weeks, VPN Client every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
