# PalMap vs OGM

The clearest difference is rating: PalMap at 4.8 against OGM's 3.3. PalMap also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (236 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PalMap sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and OGM sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PalMap holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PalMap has 236 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of PalMap's written reviews are positive against 67% of OGM's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PalMap ships an update every 4 days, OGM every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
