# ShadowingKit vs LangTalk

The clearest difference is rating: LangTalk at 4.3 against ShadowingKit's 1.0. LangTalk also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ShadowingKit sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and LangTalk sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $12.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LangTalk holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LangTalk has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ShadowingKit ships an update every 3 weeks, LangTalk every 10 days. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
