# Best Egg vs Split QR

The clearest difference is price: Best Egg at Free against Split QR's $1.99. Best Egg also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 3). Split QR's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Best Egg is free to download; Split QR costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Split QR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Best Egg has 11K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
