# Lil Tracker vs Whale Framely

The clearest difference is rating: Whale Framely at 4.8 against Lil Tracker's 3.3. Whale Framely also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 26 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 3). Lil Tracker's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whale Framely sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Lil Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

Whale Framely holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Whale Framely has 1.1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Lil Tracker's written reviews are positive against 81% of Whale Framely's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lil Tracker ships an update every 26 months, Whale Framely every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
