# ProCam vs PicMate

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PicMate at none against ProCam's 4. ProCam's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ProCam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. PicMate asks for nothing beyond the download.

ProCam ships an update fortnightly, PicMate every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
