# XC vs Gens Ace

The clearest difference is rating: XC at 3.6 against Gens Ace's 3.0. Gens Ace's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

XC holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of XC's written reviews are positive against 40% of Gens Ace's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

XC ships an update every 3 months, Gens Ace every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
