# Jamjams vs Snap Timeline

The clearest difference is rating: Jamjams at 4.6 against Snap Timeline's 3.0. Jamjams also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (26 vs 2). Snap Timeline's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 71%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Jamjams holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jamjams has 26 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Jamjams's written reviews are positive against 100% of Snap Timeline's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Jamjams ships an update every 3 weeks, Snap Timeline weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
