# Flashcard Maker vs Rethoria

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rethoria at weekly against Flashcard Maker's every 3 weeks. Rethoria also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashcard Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per year and Rethoria sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashcard Maker ships an update every 3 weeks, Rethoria weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
