# WellToon vs Anime Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Anime Timer at 3.4 against WellToon's 1.0. Anime Timer also leads on ratings volume (16 vs 1). WellToon's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WellToon sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $49.99 per month and Anime Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anime Timer holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anime Timer has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WellToon ships an update fortnightly, Anime Timer every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
