# Smart Switch | Copy My Data vs Transfer My Contacts

The clearest difference is rating: Transfer My Contacts at 4.3 against Smart Switch | Copy My Data's 3.7. Transfer My Contacts also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (149 vs 19). Smart Switch | Copy My Data's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Smart Switch | Copy My Data sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Transfer My Contacts sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Transfer My Contacts holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Transfer My Contacts has 149 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Smart Switch | Copy My Data's written reviews are positive against 33% of Transfer My Contacts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
