# Bookwise vs Read Today

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Read Today at 100% against Bookwise's 69%. Read Today also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Bookwise's advantage is ratings volume (763 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bookwise sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Read Today sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Read Today holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookwise has 763 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 69% of Bookwise's written reviews are positive against 100% of Read Today's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
