# Android TV Remote vs Myra

The clearest difference is update cadence: Myra at every 2 weeks against Android TV Remote's every 5 months. Myra also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and ratings volume (40 vs 2). Android TV Remote's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Android TV Remote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Myra has 40 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Android TV Remote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Myra's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Android TV Remote ships an update every 5 months, Myra every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
