# SILT vs Detective IQ3

The clearest difference is ads: SILT at none against Detective IQ3's shown. SILT also leads on ratings volume (4.1K vs 6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Detective IQ3's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SILT sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Detective IQ3 sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SILT against 4.7 for Detective IQ3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SILT has 4.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of SILT's written reviews are positive against 100% of Detective IQ3's.

SILT ships an update every 5 days, Detective IQ3 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
