# MyIDapp vs FamilyMap

The clearest difference is ads: FamilyMap at none against MyIDapp's shown. MyIDapp's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyIDapp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and FamilyMap sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyIDapp ships an update every 6 days, FamilyMap every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
