# Thrivo vs Task Focus

The clearest difference is monetization model: Task Focus at freemium against Thrivo's subscription. Task Focus also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and device support (5 vs 1). Thrivo's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Thrivo sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Task Focus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Task Focus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Thrivo's written reviews are positive against 86% of Task Focus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Thrivo ships an update every 3 days, Task Focus every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
