# toongether vs PIU

The clearest difference is ads: PIU at none against toongether's shown. PIU also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). toongether's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 6) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. toongether sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and PIU sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for toongether against 4.8 for PIU. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: toongether has 3.9K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

toongether ships an update every 3 days, PIU every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
