# BitBit vs TomeScan

The clearest difference is ads: BitBit at none against TomeScan's shown. TomeScan's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BitBit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and TomeScan sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BitBit ships an update every 3 weeks, TomeScan every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
