# Book Summaries vs MindDrops

The clearest difference is update cadence: MindDrops at every 4 days against Book Summaries's fortnightly. Book Summaries's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14 vs 17.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Book Summaries sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and MindDrops sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Book Summaries ships an update fortnightly, MindDrops every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
