# AppLock vs BookmarkThis

The clearest difference is update cadence: BookmarkThis at every 2 weeks against AppLock's every 3 months. AppLock's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AppLock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and BookmarkThis sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AppLock ships an update every 3 months, BookmarkThis every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
