# WordMatrix vs Zitatknacker

The clearest difference is ads: Zitatknacker at none against WordMatrix's shown. Zitatknacker also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WordMatrix sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Zitatknacker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WordMatrix ships an update every 3 weeks, Zitatknacker weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
