# Miracal vs Flipnotes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flipnotes at 100% against Miracal's 52%. Flipnotes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Miracal's advantage is ratings volume (59 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Miracal sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Flipnotes sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flipnotes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Miracal has 59 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Miracal's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flipnotes's.

Miracal ships an update weekly, Flipnotes every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
