# Stompers vs StepBuddy

The clearest difference is ads: StepBuddy at none against Stompers's shown. Stompers's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and chart position (#23 vs unranked). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stompers sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and StepBuddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stompers ships an update every 3 days, StepBuddy every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
