# DIVEROUT vs Currents

The clearest difference is rating: Currents at 4.2 against DIVEROUT's 3.8. Currents also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 67%). DIVEROUT's advantage is ratings volume (25 vs 5) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DIVEROUT sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Currents sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Currents holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DIVEROUT has 25 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of DIVEROUT's written reviews are positive against 75% of Currents's.

DIVEROUT ships an update weekly, Currents every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
