# Simple Scan vs PrayerPlan+

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Simple Scan at 672 against PrayerPlan+'s 2. Simple Scan also leads on iOS requirement (17.4 vs 26.0). PrayerPlan+'s advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Scan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and PrayerPlan+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Simple Scan against 5.0 for PrayerPlan+. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Simple Scan has 672 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
