# Castify vs Scrollnote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scrollnote at 100% against Castify's 22%. Scrollnote also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). Castify's advantage is ratings volume (720 vs 6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Castify sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Scrollnote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scrollnote holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Castify has 720 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 22% of Castify's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scrollnote's.

Castify ships an update every 5 days, Scrollnote weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
