# Youtube Transcripts vs UltiCount

The clearest difference is rating: UltiCount at 5.0 against Youtube Transcripts's 4.5. Youtube Transcripts's advantage is ratings volume (191 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Youtube Transcripts sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and UltiCount sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UltiCount holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Youtube Transcripts has 191 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Youtube Transcripts ships an update every 2 weeks, UltiCount fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
