# ScriptAI vs Stenote

The clearest difference is rating: Stenote at 4.9 against ScriptAI's 4.3. Stenote also leads on ratings volume (55 vs 6) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScriptAI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Stenote sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stenote holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stenote has 55 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of ScriptAI's written reviews are positive against 82% of Stenote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScriptAI ships an update every 2 weeks, Stenote fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
