# Laps vs SkillForge

The clearest difference is ads: Laps at none against SkillForge's shown. SkillForge's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Laps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SkillForge sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Laps ships an update every 6 months, SkillForge every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
