# Hydra vs Days Until VI

The clearest difference is rating: Hydra at 4.8 against Days Until VI's 4.3. Hydra also leads on ratings volume (814 vs 7) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Days Until VI's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hydra sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Days Until VI asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hydra holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydra has 814 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Hydra's written reviews are positive against 100% of Days Until VI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hydra ships an update every 3 weeks, Days Until VI fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
