# Network Scanner vs Passwords

The clearest difference is update cadence: Passwords at every 5 days against Network Scanner's every 6 weeks. Network Scanner's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 27.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Network Scanner sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Passwords sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Network Scanner ships an update every 6 weeks, Passwords every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
