# Techtalk vs Cosmo

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Techtalk at none against Cosmo's 4. Techtalk also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). Cosmo's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 50%) and ratings volume (810 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cosmo sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Techtalk asks for nothing beyond the download.

Techtalk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cosmo has 810 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Techtalk's written reviews are positive against 84% of Cosmo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Techtalk ships an update every 2 weeks, Cosmo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
