# Curator vs First Timers

The clearest difference is rating: First Timers at 5.0 against Curator's 4.3. First Timers also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). Curator's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (8 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Curator sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. First Timers asks for nothing beyond the download.

First Timers holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Curator has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Curator ships an update every 10 days, First Timers every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
