# Linguin vs la fabrique

The clearest difference is ads: la fabrique at none against Linguin's shown. la fabrique also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Linguin's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Linguin sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and la fabrique sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Linguin ships an update fortnightly, la fabrique every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
