# Laguna vs MatchBoost AI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Laguna at 61% against MatchBoost AI's 17%. MatchBoost AI's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Laguna sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and MatchBoost AI sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MatchBoost AI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 71 and 210 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Laguna's written reviews are positive against 17% of MatchBoost AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
