# ZippySync vs Redact

The clearest difference is ads: ZippySync at none against Redact's shown. ZippySync also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (67% vs 50%). Redact's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.7). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Redact holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of ZippySync's written reviews are positive against 50% of Redact's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ZippySync ships an update every 9 days, Redact every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 11, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
